WACO, Texas - Baylor Lady Bear women's basketball coach Kim Mulkey announced Monday that assistant coach Jennifer Roberts has resigned her position effective April 30.

Roberts came to Baylor with Mulkey eight years ago and has played an integral part in the program's rapid rise on the national scene. The Shreveport, La., native and Louisiana Tech graduate has proven to be one of Baylor's top recruiters, helping land three top 25 classes which played a large role in Baylor's three Sweet 16 appearances and the 2005 NCAA national championship. In addition, Roberts has been in charge of the team's academics as well as serving as co-director of the highly successful Lady Bear Basketball Camps.

"Jennifer Roberts may not be related to me biologically, but she is as close to me as my biological family is. One of the reasons I brought Jennifer to Baylor with me was because of her loyalty to me and that has been unwavering for eight years. She will be greatly missed by not only me but by our staff, players and fans," said Mulkey.

"This has been an extremely hard decision for me, but one that I have been contemplating for a while. I will take with me many wonderful memories, experiences and accomplishments," said Roberts.

In addition, sophomore post Jessika Bradley has indicated that she will transfer at the end of the academic year. The 6-3 Sacramento, Calif., native averaged 4.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 17.7 minutes a game this season. She played in all 32 of the Lady Bears' games and started in six. As a freshman she scored 3.3 points and hauled down 3.2 rebounds an outing.
