WACO, Texas - Baylor guard LaceDaruis Dunn was selected an honorable mention freshman All-America by CollegeHoops.net, the organization announced Friday.

Dunn averaged 13.6 points and 4.1 rebounds (both figures second on the team) in his first season at Baylor. He was one of five Big 12 freshman honored by CollegeHoops.net.

The Monroe, La., native was previously named to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team and the Big 12 All-Reserve Team by the league's media and twice earned Big 12 Rookie of the Week honors this past season.

His 83.7 free throw percentage led the Big 12 and his 41.6 3-point percentage ranks third in the Big 12 and is the highest percentage ever recorded by a Baylor freshman (and fourth-best overall single-season percentage in school history).

Dunn exploded for 38 points in 31 minutes off the bench in Baylor's regular-season-ending win at Texas Tech, the top scoring mark ever for a BU freshman and sixth-highest scoring effort in school history. He notched six 20-plus scoring games this season.
