In the second set, Baylor won four straight points to take a 9-5 lead on a block by Christenson and Byrd. The Bears extended the lead to as many as 10 points at 18-8 after another run of five-straight points. Colorado made a run at the end of the set, but a Barnes kill gave Baylor the second set 25-19.

Baylor held an 8-5 advantage in the third set before six straight Colorado points put the Buffs in front 11-8.
