The Lady Bears used a 28-0 run in the first half en route to a 123-70 victory over the Houston Jaguars in their first exhibition match of the season on Monday night.
Junior Danielle Wilson led all scorers with 22 points behind 9-of-11 shooting, while adding seven rebounds.
"Anytime you can shoot over 50 percent, you are pleased," head coach Kim Mulkey said. "But this was an exhibition game, and I thought there was a big size advantage."
Freshman Lindsay Palmer and junior Morghan Medlock posted 15 points apiece, while senior Rachel Allison chipped in 14 points and freshman Ashley Field added 13. Sophomore Melissa Jones came up one rebound short of a double-double, after recording 10 points and nine rebounds.
Houston took a 4-2 lead at the 19:17 mark and that was the last lead they would have all game, as Baylor went on a 28-0 run for the next seven minutes to jump out to a 30-4 advantage.
Behind 57 percent shooting and 18 points from Wilson, Baylor took a 63-28 lead into the break.
Baylor continued their hot shooting, stretching their lead to as many as 63 points in the second half. A bucket by Palmer at 15:34 guaranteed that all Lady Bears scored in the game.
The Lady Bears shot 57 percent (52-of-91) for the game and held Houston to 41 percent (23-of-56). Baylor forced 28 Jaguar turnovers, converting them into 48 points of its own.
Houston was led by Dominique Thomas' 20 points. Along with Thomas, two other Jaguars (Chandi Jones and Tiffany Miller) tallied double-digit scoring.
The Lady Bears will be back in action Friday Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. for their exhibition game against the Dallas Diesel.
