Nebraska Head Coach Connie Yori:
On the game:
"I thought that [Baylor's] post defense was outstanding. We have a really good post game and we were not able to score during one-on-one situations on the low block, and I thought that was a big factor. I thought [Angela] Tisdale did a great job of controlling the game. Rachel Allison is a great player. I think she is highly underrated. I think they are starting to learn a little bit more about her. She makes this team go in a lot of ways. They are a balanced team, and I think they played really well on the offensive end and we weren't able to contain them. They are a nice balanced team, and that is why they are there were they are."
On Baylor's Defending Baylor's Balance:
"You just need to be solid, and we were not as solid as we needed to be. They have good enough post players that score from the low block or the high post. They are hard to guard. With [Baylor's] starting five, and [Melissa] Jones coming in off of the bench, they have a great group of six that can all do things. It is always hard to guard teams that have good balance."
Nebraska forward Kelsey Griffin:
On Baylor:
"Baylor really is a great team. They are not ranked in the Top 10 in the country for nothing. Coach Yori actually summed it up really well in the locker room when she said that the game of basketball can be broken down into the fact that the team that wins is the usually the team that does the most things right. Baylor did a lot of really good things tonight and we broke down."
On Defending Baylor:
"[Baylor's] starting five all averaged double digits. To be able to have those kind of weapons just in your starting five, and to have a team that feeds each other that well, shares the ball that well and is that selfless makes them a very difficult team to defend."
Nebraska guard Tay Hester:
On Baylor:
"[Baylor] is a great team. I think we had a lot of costly mistakes that they capitalized on. They are not ranked #6 in the nation for nothing. The Big 12 is a great conference game in and game out and everyone is going to come out and play hard. We played hard and hustled in spurts, and I just wished that we could have done that for the whole game."
