WACO, Texas - Lauren Hagans was chosen as the Big 12 Female Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week, while Quentin Iglehart-Summers has been named the Male Athlete of the Week for meets of Jan. 8-14. This marks the first time both athletes have won weekly accolades.

Hagans edged teammate Nichole Jones to win the 800 meters with a provisional qualifying time of 2:08.69. Hagans' time is the seventh-fastest in Baylor history and is the best time in a season-opening meet.

Iglehart-Summers' winning time of 47.02 seconds in the 400 meters is the fastest for Baylor in a season-opening meet since Jeremy Wariner's 46.80 in 2004. He also recorded a 47.2 seconds split, anchoring the Bears to a first-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:09.70. The times in both events set NCAA provisional marks.

Baylor claimed seven event victories and set four NCAA provisional qualifying times to open the indoor season. The Bears return to action on Jan. 25-26 at the Arkansas Open.
