WACO, Texas - Baylor sophomore Nichole Jones has been named the Big 12 Female Runner of the Week the league office announced on Tuesday. Last week Jones also earned the conference's weekly honor.

Jones (Spring, Texas) led Baylor to a team title at the BYU Autumn Classic In Provo, Utah. She earned individual medalist honors with a time of 17:47.1 as Baylor placed five runners in the top seven finishers.

This marks the second consecutive individual victory for Jones as she finished first in the Baylor Twilight Invitational last weekend. Last season she won the UNT Invitational.

Selected members of the men's and women's cross country teams will compete this weekend at the UNT Invitational. The complete squads will be back in action on September 28 as the women run in the Notre Dame Invitational and the men participate in the Stanford Invitational.
