Bradley Wins 800m Preliminary Heat

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Freshman Danielle Bradley won her preliminary heat in the 800 meters at the 2007 Finish Line USA Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Michael A. Carroll Track and Soccer Stadium.

Bradley (West Palm Beach, Fla.), an All-Conference and All-Region performer, clocked a time of 2:07.03 to win heat two by more than a second. Bradley's time was the fourth-fastest of the preliminary rounds. She will compete in the event finals on Friday afternoon.

Baylor also qualified three former Bears at the 2007 AT&T USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Darold Williamson won his preliminary heat of the open 400 meters with a time of 45.57, the third-fastest time of the preliminaries. Reggie Witherspoon (Marietta, Ga.) also qualified in the quarter-mile with a time of 46.02 to take the final spot in the semifinals, which will be run on Friday.

Angel Perkins qualified for the semifinals of the women's 400 meters, finishing third in her preliminary heat with a time of 52.64. She recorded the 13th-fastest time of the preliminaries and will compete in the semifinals of the event on Friday.

Competition at the USA Outdoor Championships will continue on Friday morning.
