Track and Field Runs in Distance Carnival at Drake Relays

Three Baylor track and field distance runners took part in the Distance Carnival on Thursday night at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.

Renae Van Whye (Collierville, Tenn.) and Jessi Barnes (Bentonville, Ark.) both ran in the women's 5,000 meters, while Bo Price (Atlanta, Texas) competed in the men's 5,000 meters.

Barnes finished in 24th place with a time of 17:41.00, while Van Whye took 29th in 18:06.68. Price started the men's event, but did not finish.

The Bears are back in action on Friday and Saturday at the Drake Relays. Baylor starts the day with the men's and women's 4x100-meter relays beginning at 9:32 a.m. on Friday morning.
