WACO, Texas - Baylor's women equestrian team (3-6) will host its final home show of the regular season Saturday 1p.m. at the Willis Family Equestrian Center. The show features five riders in four events, two in English and two in Western.
The Bears look to halt their four-match losing streak. Baylor's last show resulted in an 11-8 loss to Kansas State in Waco. Baylor hasn't won a show dating back to Nov. 4, 2006, an 11-9 victory against Oklahoma State.
Baylor and Auburn met last year in Auburn, Ala., when the Tigers defeated the Bears 1183.5-1133 in raw scores. The Western teams competed in the 2006 Varsity Equestrian Championship when Auburn outed Baylor 841.5-830.
Auburn enters the weekend with an overall 5-4 record. In their last match, the Tigers suffered a 9-7 loss against TCU on Thursday.
Final show scores will be available at www.baylorbears.com upon the show's completion.
