Baylor Middle Distance, Relay Set NCAA Provisional Marks

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Baylor earned two provisional marks in the 800 meter run, and added another qualifying time in the women's 4x400 meter relay a the Last Chance Meet held at Randal Tyson Track Complex.

Junior Lauren Hagans (Little Rock, Ark.), injured during competition at last weekend's Big 12 Championships, recorded another NCAA Provisional mark in the 800 meters with a 2:08.92. Earlier this season, Hagans ran 2:08.57 at the Tyson Invitational. Freshman Danielle Bradley (West Palm Beach, Fla.) also earned a provisional time in 2:09.00, her personal-best time.

The women's 4x400 meter relay team also set a qualifying time with a mark of 3:37.10, improving the Lady Bears' season-best time by more than one second.

Sophomore Courtney Thomas (Kilgore, Texas) ran 6.85 in the 60 meter dash preliminaries, and followed with a 6.83 in the event finals.

Thomas also competed in the men's 200 meter dash, recording a time of 21.38, his fastest time of the season.

Jeremy Jackson (Round Rock, Texas) ran the 60 meter hurdles in a time of 8.24.

Baylor returns to Fayetteville next weekend as the Bears compete in the 2007 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
