Baylor guard Curtis Jerrells was named to the five-man 2007 Big 12 Championship All-Tournament team, selected Sunday at the conclusion of the event in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Jerrells was the only player on the all-tournament team selected from a roster other than Kansas or Texas, Sunday's two finals participants. The other four honorees were A.J. Abrams and Kevin Durant of Texas and Brandon Rush and Julian Wright of Kansas. Durant was named the tournament's most outstanding player.

Jerrells led 11th-seeded Baylor to an opening-round 97-83 upset over six seed Missouri before he and the Bears dropped a heartbreaking 74-69 decision to No. 3 seed and 14th-ranked Texas in the quarterfinals.

In two tournament games Jerrells averaged 25.0 points and 8.0 rebounds and shot 53 percent from the field and 46 percent on 3-pointers.

Against Missouri, Jerrells scored a school tournament-record 31 points and shot 70.6 percent (12-17) from the field - part of Baylor's Big 12-record 63 percent team shooting percentage.

The sophomore from Austin, Texas, was also named an honorable mention All-Big 12 selection by the league's coaches and the Associated Press.
