GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The second-ranked Baylor men's tennis team suffered its first loss of the season to No. 15 Florida Sunday in Gainesville. With this loss, the Bears drop to 4-1 on the season.

The Gators took an early lead taking the doubles point with two wins over the Bears. Lars Poerschke and Michal Kokta were the only pair to win for the Bears defeating Jordan Dolberg and Nestor Briceno 8-1. Baylor's duo of Dominik Mueller and Matija Zgaga fell to Greg Ouellette and Jesse Levine 8-5 while Atilla Bucko and David Galic were also defeated by the team of Dan Cash and Geoffrey Barton 9-8 (4).

In Singles action, No. 66 Denes Lukacs gained Baylor its first point with a 6-0, 6-0 downing of Barton. No. 56 Poerschke fell to Levine of Florida 6-1, 6-3 while No. 17 Kokta was also defeated by No. 16 Ouellette 6-1, 6-2.

No. 53 Mueller picked up a win for the Bears after defeating Cash 6-4, 6-1. Florida took another win on the number three court when Zgaga fell to No. 60 Briceno while Baylor's Matt Brown picked up another point for the Bears defeating Dolber 6-2, 3-6, 1-0 (4).

The Bears will return to action Saturday as they take on No. 4 UCLA at 12 p.m. at the Baylor Tennis Center. Live results will be posted at www.baylorbears.com.
