BAYLOR HOSTS UT-PAN AMERICAN
After claiming the championship of the Baylor-hosted Basketball Travelers Tip-Off Tournament, the Lady Bears host the UT-Pan American Lady Broncos in a non-conference contest on Thursday, Nov. 15 at 7:00 p.m.
Baylor, ranked No. 13 in both polls, comes into the contest at 3-0 while this will be UT-Pan American's season opener. UT-Pan Am downed Texas A&M-International, 70-55, Monday night in an exhibition game.

Tickets for all Lady Bear games are available through the Baylor Athletic Ticket Office at Floyd Casey Stadium (8 a.m.-5 p.m.), the Ferrell Center Ticket Office (11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. daily) or by calling 1-800-BAYLORU or 254-710-1000.

Baylor's Ferrell Center record in regular season, non-conference games under Coach Mulkey is 51-1 (.981). During that eight-year time span, Baylor's lone Ferrell Center loss came against Purdue on Nov. 19, 2006, in the Preseason WNIT championship game.
LADY BEAR LEADERS
With three games under their belt, the Lady Bears boast five players averaging double-digit scoring. Leading the way is Jhasmin Player with 17.7 points a game, including a career-high 29 against Saint Mary's. In the same contest, the junior guard tied a school record, hitting 13-of-13 from the free throw line. Sophomore post Danielle Wilson follows with 13.7 points and a team-high 9.0 rebounds a game while Rachel Allison, a junior forward/post, manages 12.7 points an outing. The team's lone senior, point guard Angela Tisdale, scores 12.0 a contest and another sophomore post, Jessika Bradley, accounts for 11.7 a game.
Bradley ranks behind Wilson in rebounding at 7.3 a game while freshman guard Melissa Jones also hauls down 7.3 a contest.
Wilson and Bradley, two of the team's top shot blockers in their rookie campaign last season, are continuing to show why they form one of the nation's top shot-blocking tandems. Three games into the season, the duo has combined for 12 rejections, seven by Wilson and five by Bradley. Baylor led NCAA Division I last season in blocks per game with 7.2. So far this season the Lady Bears are averaging 6.3 a contest.
The Lady Bears have out-scored their opponents by an average of 44.7 points a game and haul down 21.7 more rebounds a contest. Baylor is averaging 91.0 points and 50.0 rebound an outing.
SERIES RECORD
Thursday's contest marks the seventh meeting between Baylor and the UT-Pan American Lady Broncos and the first since the 2002-03 season. The Lady Bears own a 6-0 series lead and are 4-0 in games played in Waco.

BAYLOR IN THE RANKINGS
After beginning the season ranked No. 15 in both the Associated Press Top 25 and the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Preseason Polls, Baylor has now moved up two spots in both polls, checking in at No. 13.
Baylor has been ranked in a school-record 69 straight regular-season AP polls dating back to week nine of the 2003-04 listing when it broke in at No. 24.

In Kim Mulkey's eight seasons along the Ferrell Center sidelines, her teams have posted some impressive numbers in the venue. The Lady Bears have maintained a 101-14 (.878) Ferrell Center record during that time span.

THE OPPONENT
UT-PAN AMERICAN
UT-Pan American begins the 2007-08 season returning 11 players off last season's 11-18 squad. Four starters, LeKeisha Gray, Tamara Vaughn, Aleeya Grigsby and Cinthia Ramirez, return to the 16-member 2007-08 team. Head coach DeAnn Craft (Central Florida, 1987) begins her fifth season as the Lady Bronco's head coach and owns a 45-68 record at the Edinburg, Texas, school. Craft's career record stands at 150-167 in 18 seasons along the sidelines.

RECORD SETTERS
Baylor was 42-of-58 from the free throw line against Saint Mary's College, establishing school records for free throws made and attempted. The previous high for makes was 37 which was accomplished twice, against Texas (Feb. 14, 2001) and TCU (Jan. 15, 1994). The Lady Bears' previous high for attempts was 52 against TCU (Jan. 15, 1994) and Bethune Cookman (Nov. 28, 2000).
In addition, Jhasmin Player's perfect 13-of-13 from the charity stripe matched LaToya Ellis' top free throw percentage mark which she accomplished against UT-Arlington on March 12, 1999.
