1. How did playing a non-conference schedule help your team this season?
You always want to play games. Last year we did not get to do that, so this season we get a leg up on last year. Plus, getting to play in the Pre-season NIT always helps, with the competition level.
2. How have the freshman played this season?
I am very pleased with the play of Tweety (Carter) and Josh (Lomers). They have improved with experienced and they will definitely help us win in the Big 12 Conference.
3. How were the holidays? Did you have a good break?
As a coach, our break is never long enough. We sometimes do not get a chance to enjoy the holiday break. We just end-up watching a lot of game film.
4. Most players have superstitions, do coaches?
Every coaching staff has routines and we are no different. We have certain things we like to do before games our practices and things like that.
5. What is the most positive thing you have seen from your team so far this season?
I really like the chemistry the team has. Everyone is fun to be around and everyone enjoys each other. You always perform better when you are comfortable around your team. For a young team like the one we currently have, it also helps that everyone is friends.
