WACO, Texas - Baylor men's tennis team will begin its 2007 dual match season this weekend as they take on the University of Hawai'i at Honolulu on Saturday, Jan. 6 at 8 p.m. (CST). The match marks the earliest start of dual match play in program history. The Bears are coming off a successful fall season and have added three new players to their already strong roster. Joining the team in January were freshman Attila Bucko and seniors Jamie Bishop and Michael Wollitz. Bucko graduated from high school a semester early to join the Bears and Bishop and Wollitz have been attending Baylor. Matt Brown, David Galic, Michal Kokta, Denes Lukacs, Dominik Mueller and Lars Poerschke all return after fall competition while senior Matija Zgaga begins action after sitting out fall play. Baylor is returning five letterwinners off last season's NCAA Tournament semifinal squad that finished the year at 25-7 and claimed its fifth consecutive and sixth overall Big 12 Conference title. Returning letterwinners include Brown, Galic, Kokta, Poerschke and Zgaga.
