Today is January 18, 2007, a new year and a happy me. I tell you I am so excited to finally start Big 12 play!

We started at home with Texas Tech University, which was a tough game for us. However, we pulled it out and our freshmen found what it was really like to play in the Big 12. It was also good seeing former assistant coach Bill Brock, I tell you I miss him a bunch, he used to always make us laugh.

We then faced the University of Kansas and I got to play in historic Allen Fieldhouse. I felt so privileged to be playing on the court and glad that we won our first Big 12 road game of the season. Kansas might be a young team, but they are tough.

We were pretty upset about the loss to Oklahoma, but they are a good team and we did not show up to play in the second half.

The most disappointing loss was to Texas A&M. Since that loss, practices have been intense, but I feel it will pay off.

Yesterday school was cancelled because of the storm; it was a nice not having to go to class and getting a chance to sleep in. We were all hoping that it would get cancelled today, but it did not happen so we are back on our regular schedule.

We are all ready to come back home to our fans and play Kansas State, which is also a top 25 team. I am especially happy because this is the first time my mom will be able to watch me play in a Baylor uniform.

Well, I have to get ready for practice with Ms. Mulkey; I know it will be another tough one.

Hope to see all of our fans in the Ferrell Center on Saturday afternoon.
