Hello Baylor Fans, It is really frustrating knowing that our record could be so much better right now, but we have really beat ourselves. We have to eliminate the penalties and mistakes we have been making. We also have to finish! We have been in the lead at halftime in every game this year and we have to learn to finish teams off.

However, we still have eight games left and it is the start of conference play. In order to go to a bowl game, we have to win five of our final eight games. I feel like we are capable of winning five of these next eight games; but, we have really backed ourselves into a corner.

This weekend is a great opportunity to get back on track and we really have to perform against a very good Kansas State team. We have to forget about the past because we cannot change what has happened. We have to put all of our focus on Kansas State and not anything in the past or future.

We have to look at this game like it's a one-game season and focus only on winning this Saturday. Anything is possible if we play one game at a time and play like we are capable of playing. Kansas State is 3-1 and played well against a highly-ranked Louisville team last weekend. The strength of the Wildcats is their defense and they are a good overall defense. They have a new head coach and bring totally different schemes and philosophies than the K-State teams of the past.

Thank you so much for your support and I hope you continue to support our team. There are two ways the season can go right now. We can man up and do whatever it takes to try to reach our goals or we can fold up and let the season go down the drain.

As a team, we have decided to forget about what has happened up until now, and put all of our focus into Kansas State and then the remainder of our schedule. As fans, I hope that you will do the same because the season is not over.

Sic'em Bears and God Bless - Shawn Bell
