Women's Basketball Releases Television Schedule

WACO, Texas - The Big 12 Conference announced its broadcast packages recently and the Baylor women's basketball team will play at least six nationally televised games this season, one on ESPN2 and five on FSN (FOX Sports Net).

Baylor's first televised contest will be on Dec. 17 when the Lady Bears travel to Los Angeles to take on the UCLA Bruins. The 2:30 p.m. (Central) game will be aired on FSN as part of the Pac-10 package.

FSN, which reaches more than 81 million homes nationwide through 21 regional sports networks, will air Baylor's games at Kansas (Jan. 6, 3 p.m.), at Texas A&M (Jan. 13, 3:30 p.m.), in Waco against Kansas State (Jan. 20, 1 p.m.) and at Nebraska (Feb. 3, 2:30 p.m.).

Also, FSN also owns the broadcast rights to all games played on Feb. 28, which is the final Wednesday of the regular season. Teams chosen to participate in the "wildcard" game on that date will be announced at a later date. Baylor and Oklahoma will play in Norman that night.

ESPN2 will broadcast from the Ferrell Center on Sun., Feb. 25 when the Lady Bears host Texas A&M at 2 p.m.

In addition, seven Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship matchups are included in the league's package. All Phillips 66 Big 12 Conference Championship quarterfinal games will be televised by FSN for the sixth consecutive year, in addition to the semifinals and championship which have been televised by the network every year since the inception of the conference in 1996-97.

Baylor is currently finalizing its television schedule, those games will be announced at a later date.
