The Baylor football team held its longest workout of the week Thursday afternoon on the grass practice fields at Floyd Casey Stadium, working for nearly two-and-a-half hours in the Central Texas heat. No new injuries were reported from the workout, which was the Bears' 20th since hitting the practice field Aug. 4.

"We got a little bit out of rhythm and then the coaches got a little hot, but we got back on schedule," said Baylor coach Guy Morriss. "We went a little bit long today, but we had to get it done. We'll get back in sync tomorrow."

The Bears are slated to workout Friday at 3:15 p.m., Saturday at 9 a.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. before taking next Monday off. Mondays are the Bears' traditional off days during the season.
