Track in Action at World Championships

BEIJING, China - Baylor sophomore Quentin Iglehart-Summers (San Antonio, Texas) ran 47.24 to win his heat in the 400 meters, but ran 47.04 in the semifinals, which was not fast enough to advance to the finals at the 11th World Junior Track & Field Championships at Chaoyang Sports Centre.

Sophomore Erin Bedell (Plano, Texas) is running on her fourth junior national team, two cross country and two track & field squads, while Iglehart-Summers made his first international appearance.

Bedell will run in the first round Friday, Aug. 18, at 10:15 a.m. (9:15 p.m. Thursday CDT), while the final is set for Sunday.
