WACO, Texas - Baylor Lady Bear basketball associate head coach Bill Brock has resigned his position at Baylor to accept a similar position at Texas Tech.

Brock, in six seasons at Baylor, helped guide the team to six postseason competitions including five NCAA Tournaments and the 2005 NCAA national championship. While at Baylor, Brock developed the Lady Bears' inside game into one of the nation's most dominating paint presences and played a large part in Sophia Young and Steffanie Blackmon attaining All-American status.

Brock also served as Baylor's recruiting coordinator and according to All-Star Girls Report the Lady Bears pulled in the nations' No. 1 recruiting class this season. In addition, the class was ranked No. 4 by Scout.com and No. 9 in Blue Star Basketball's report.

Prior to his arrival at Baylor, Brock spent 13 years as head coach at Grayson County College (Texas), developing one of the most successful and respected women's basketball programs in the junior college ranks.

"I want to thank Coach Mulkey-Robertson for the opportunity she gave me six years ago. It has been an incredible experience to be a part of this coaching staff as the Lady Bear program has developed into one of national prominence. Janice and I have truly enjoyed Waco and love the Lady Bear fans. We wish everyone the best," said Coach Brock.
