AMES, Iowa - Baylor senior Jerome Miller (Houston, Texas) won the 60-meter hurdles, improved his NCAA provisional qualifying time and set a new meet record by clocking 7.75 at the Cyclone National Qualifier Saturday at the Lied Track Center.

Senior Angel Perkins (Cerritos, Calif.) finished sixth in the 400 meters, but did not improve her time, running 54.28. Her season best is 53.67 at the Tyson Invitational Feb. 11. Junior Kandace Tucker (Irving, Texas) finished second in the 200 meters with a time of 23.85, which also does not improve her time. She set the school record with a 23.51 at the Big 12 Championships Feb. 25.

The women's Big 12 champion 4x400-meter relay of Perkins, Tucker, sophomore Carla Grace (San Antonio, Texas) and junior Lauren Tillman (Lawrenceville, Ga.) ran an NCAA automatic qualifying time of 3:33.14 to finish second.

The Bears who qualify will compete at the NCAA Indoor Championships Friday and Saturday at Randal Tyson Indoor Track in Fayetteville, Ark. Freshman Jacob Norman (Temple, Texas) in the 60 meters and the women's 4x400-meter relay and distance medley relay have automatically qualified, while several other Bears have strong provisional marks.
