WACO, Texas (AP)- Aaron Bruce scored 28 points, 25 of them in the second half, to lead Baylor to a 77-66 win over Texas Tech on Wednesday night.

Bruce hit all but one of his seven 3-point attempts. Patrick Fields contributed 14 points for the Bears, while Tommy Swanson and Curtis Jerrells added 11 each.

Texas Tech (14-15, 6-9 Big 12) scored five straight points to open the second half and take a 34-29 lead. But the Bears responded with a 14-7 run and took the lead 43-41 on Bruce's 3-pointer with 12 minutes remaining.

The Red Raiders never regained the lead and Baylor (4-11, 4-11) extended the margin to 11 points at 61-50 with 5:24 left.

Alan Voskuil's 3-pointer cut the deficit to 67-60 with just under two minutes left to play. But Baylor sank 10 consecutive free throws, six of them by Jerrells, in the final 90 seconds to clinch the win.

Jarrius Jackson led Texas Tech with 25 points while Voskuil and Jon Plefka each had 10.

Plefka's four straight points in the final minute of the first half gave the Red Raiders a 29-26 halftime lead.

The win gave Baylor coach Scott Drew his best conference record in three years at the school.
