English Team Records Fourth Place Finish

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - At Texas A&M's English IHSA show today, the Bears battled against highly-experienced equestrian programs in the two day event. The Bears placed third yesterday with 27 points and placed fourth today with 34 points. Oklahoma State won today's show with 34 points while Texas A&M and LSU tied for second with 35 points. Baylor's Nicole Brown was the show's high-point rider. Brown finished first in her Open Flat and Open Fences groups.

Lera Thompson placed first in her Advanced WTC group for the second straight day. In her Advanced WTC, Jobi Spencer placed sixth in her section.

Also in the Open Flat, Deirdre Sabo placed fourth and Susie Foster placed sixth. Kim Marlowe earned a second place finish in her Novice Flat group while Nicole McCoy finished fourth in hers. In Intermediate Flat, Jill Anthony placed third and Shelby White placed fourth.

In Open Fences, Susie Foster finished fourth in her group while Anthony finished third in her Novice Fences. White earned a sixth place finish in her Intermediate Fences group.

Baylor's equestrian team will return to action next weekend as the Bears travel to South Carolina and Auburn for two head-to-head shows on Feb. 24 and 25.
