WACO, Texas - The No. 12 Baylor women's basketball team will need the help of its fans to break the 100,000 home attendance mark this season, which would be a first in the history of the program.
"Mission Possible: 100K" will take place Wednesday, Feb. 22 when the Lady Bears host Colorado in their final home game of the season. Wednesday will also be the Lady Bears' Senior Salute to three integral members of its 2005 national championship team: forward Sophia Young and guards Chameka Scott and Jordan Davis.
The first 100 kids will receive a Bruiser Bobblehead doll and concessions will be selling hot dogs and Dr Pepper for 100 cents each.
In addition, one lucky fan will be chosen at random and acknowledged at halftime in recognition of being the "100,000th Fan."
The Lady Bears reached their all-time season attendance high last year with 95,688 and will need to average 8,141 in their final two home games to eclipse the 100,000 barrier.
Currently, Baylor ranks No. 8 nationally with 7,611 fans per game, which tops last year's school-record average of 6,835 fans.
