Baylor Head Coach Scott Drew:
On the game:
"I'm well pleased with the win, well pleased with a couple of things like rebounding and shooting percentage. I'm not pleased with the turnovers. This is a team that's only been beaten by twenty plus once this year and that was at Missouri, so I'm impressed with the win."
"Defensively I really thought the press really took them out of their aggressiveness. They really play a great half court offense and I thought the pressure really took them out of that."
On Delaware State:
"Delaware State was a game that we scheduled in order to get us ready for conference. They were a postseason NIT team last year and won a game in postseason. And they pretty much everyone back. They just came off a big road win at Buffalo. This is a team that should be in the post season this year."
Baylor guard Henry Dugat:
On the second half performance
"We were getting each other more open and making the extra pass to get the open look. Good, better, best."
On the guards' rebounding:
"Our big men do a good job of holding them out, but while they are holding them out we have to go in there and get a rebound. Give credit to our big men for holding them out."
Baylor forward Kevin Rogers:
On the game:
"They were a great team. Coach was telling us throughout the week...We out-rebounded them by 19. The turnovers were up a little bit, but that can be fixed in practice."
On playing three games in a short time span:
"We love playing. It's so much fun. We didn't have a chance to experience this last year...The team chemistry is beginning to become great. We're great teammates on and off the court, but we're getting better."
