MISCELLANEOUS NOTES
• The announced attendance was 10,040 was the largest crowd for Baylor this season and the fifth-largest in school history.

• During the contest, there were four lead changes and the score was tied four times. Baylor's largest advantage was 18 points with 5:02 left in the second half while Texas' largest lead came with 1:17 left in the first when the Longhorns held a one-point lead.

• Baylor will return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 11, when the Lady Bears host Oklahoma State at 7:00 p.m.

TEAM NOTES
• The win extended Baylor's home winning streak to 23-straight games, dating back to a 62-59 loss to Texas Tech on Feb. 8, 2004. Baylor is now 76-10 all-time at home under head coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson.

• Baylor went with a starting line-up of Rachel Allison, Abiola Wabara, Sophia Young, Angela Tisdale and Chameka Scott for the first time this season.

• With the win, Baylor improves to 16-52 all-time against Texas.

• Baylor scored 27 points in the first half, the lowest point total for Baylor in a half this season; however, the Lady Bears held a 27-24 advantage at the break.

• Baylor held Texas to 31.6 percent (18-of-57) shooting and 48 points for the game, the lowest point total for the Longhorns this season.

• Baylor held a 25-4 edge over Texas in second chance points.

• Baylor forced 19 Texas turnovers and recorded six blocks and 10 steals on the day.

• Baylor out-rebounded Texas 46-38 as the Lady Bears improve to 9-1 on the season when out-rebounding their opponent.

• Baylor is now 2-0 on the season against ranked opponents.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
Sophia Young scored 25 points on the night and became only the third player in school history to score 2,000 careener points, pushing her career total to 2,010. Young ranks sixth all-time in Big 12 Conference career scoring and is now 115 points shy of LaNeishea Caufield of Oklahoma (2,125 points) for fifth on the conference career scoring list.

• With 25 points, Young has scored in double figures in 58 consecutive games and has scored in double figures in 109 of 118 career games.

• With 25 points and 15 rebounds, Young recorded her 52nd career double-double, tying her with Kansas State's Kendra Wecker (2002-05) for second on the Big 12 Conference career list. Young is now two double-doubles from tying the conference career mark of 54 set by Iowa State's Angie Welle (1999-02).

• Young has scored at least 20 points in 9 of 12 games this season.

• Freshman Rachel Allison made her first career start for the Lady Bears, scoring six points and adding nine rebounds in the victory. The nine rebounds by Allison established a new career high.

• Allison established a new career high with four steals in the victory.

Angela Tisdale was the only other player to score in double figures in the contest, scoring 13 points in the victory.
