BAYLOR VS. TEXAS...
The Baylor Lady Bears, currently ranked No. 4 in both the AP and Coaches polls, enter the contest versus the Texas Longhorns with a 10-1 overall record and an 0-1 Big 12 mark. Missouri snapped Baylor's NCAA Division I-best and school record 30-game win streak with a 64-61 triumph in Columbia on Wednesday night, but the Lady Bears have won 45 of their last 50 games. Baylor comes into Saturday's game sporting a 22-game home win streak, as its last Ferrell Center loss came on Feb. 8, 2004 to Texas Tech (62-59). The Lady Bears reeled off three home wins after the Lady Raider loss, were 14-0 last season and are 5-0 so far in 2005-06.

Senior forward Sophia Young, national player of the year candidate, leads Baylor in both scoring and rebounding at 21.9 points and 10.3 rebounds a game. The Kodak All-American poured in a career-high 31 points and hauled down 11 rebounds to record her 51st career double-double in the losing effort at Missouri on Wednesday . Sophomore point guard Angela Tisdale ranks second on the squad in scoring at 14.6 an outing. Junior forward Abiola Wabara completes BU's double-digit season scoring trio at 11.1 a contest and she ranks second among Lady Bears in rebounding at 6.5 a game.

The Texas Longhorns, 6-5 overall and 0-1 in league action, are coming off a Tuesday night loss at Kansas (70-61). Senior forward Tiffany Jackson leads the Longhorns in scoring and rebounding at 14.3 points and 7.3 boards a game while freshman guard Erika Arriaran completes Texas' double-digit scorers at 11.4 a contest.
