MISCELLANEOUS NOTES
• The announced attendance was 7,672 and was the 11th largest home crowd in school histroy.
• During the contest, there four lead changes as the score was tied five times. Baylor's largest lead was 50-points with 1:00 to play in the second half while the Jayhawks largest lead was two points with 15:21 to play in the first half.
• Baylor will return to action on Monday, January 30, when the Lady Bears travel to Baton Rouge, La., to face LSU at 6:00 p.m.
TEAM NOTES
• With the win, Baylor improves to 9-6 all-time against Kansas and has won seven straight in the series. The Baylor 50-point victory was the largest margin of victory in the series.
• Every Baylor player scored in the game as six Lady Bears reached double-figures. The last time Baylor had six players score in double-figures was Jan. 2, 2004, when the Lady Bears defeated Sam Houston State. The game marked the third time this season every Baylor player scored in the game (Cal, McNeese State).
• Baylor out-rebounded Kansas 45-25 for the contest as the Lady Bears improved to 13-1 when out-rebounding their opponent.
• The 50-point margin of victory was the largest for the Lady Bears this season and the largest since a 100-47 voctory over Sam Houston State on Jan. 2, 2004.
• Baylor tied a season-high with 17 steals. The Lady Bears also recorded 17 steals in the victory over Oklahoma State.
• Baylor held a 37-5 edge in points off turnovers and a 34-14 edge in points in the paint.
• Baylor held a 9-0 edge in blocked shots and a 17-4 edge in steals.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Sophia Young scored 17 points on the night, pushing her career total to 2,114. Young ranks sixth all-time in Big 12 Conference career scoring and is now 11 points shy of LaNeishea Caufield of Oklahoma (2,125 points) for fifth on the conference career scoring list.
• With 17 points, Young has scored in double figures in 64 consecutive games and has scored in double figures in 115 of 124 career games.
• Young led six Baylor players in double figures as Jhasmin Player (12 points), Angela Tisdale (13 points), Chameka Scott (12 points), Jordan Davis (11 points) and Tricia Abbott (10 points) all scored in double figures for the Lady Bears.
• Abbott tied her career high with 10 points. She also scored 10 points in the victory over Marshall.
