BAYLOR VS. MISSOURI...
The Baylor Lady Bears, currently ranked No. 4 in both the AP and Coaches polls, enter the contest versus the Missouri Tigers with a 10-0 record and an NCAA Division I-best and school record 30-game win streak. En route to its perfect 2005-06 mark, Baylor has posted wins over then-No. 8 Georgia, UCLA, Indiana, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, California, Marshall, Washington, McNeese State, Army and Sam Houston State. Baylor is 10-0 for the first time since 2001-02, the third time under head coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson and the fifth time in school history.

Senior forward Sophia Young, national player of the year candidate, leads Baylor in both scoring and rebounding at 21.0 points and 10.2 rebounds a game. Sophomore point guard Angela Tisdale returns to action after sitting out a three-game suspension and ranks second on the squad in scoring at 15.7 an outing. Junior forward Abiola Wabara completes BU's double-digit season scoring trio at 11.3 a contest and she ranks second among Lady Bears in rebounding at 6.7 a game.

The 10-2 Missouri women notched their ninth straight win in an 84-65 victory over Western Michigan in the Tigers' non-conference finale Thursday night.

The Tigers' nine-game streak is the nation's seventh-longest, and matches the longest winning stretch at Mizzou since the 1999-2000 season. By finishing the non-conference schedule at 10-2, the Tigers have posted the third-best start in Mizzou history through 12 games, behind only the 1992-93 and 1976-77 teams that began 11-1.

LaToya Bond leads head coach Cindy Stein's Missouri squad in scoring with 18.1 a contest. The 5-7 senior guard also is the club's leader in assists (49), steals (36), field goal percentage (.565) and free throw percentage (.852). Christelle N'Garsanet (6-3, senior, center) is the team's top rebounder (7.8) and ranks second in scoring at 12.7 a game. Texas native Carlynn Savant (Euless) completes the Tigers' double-digit scoring as the 6-1 junior forward averages 11.1 a game.

The Lady Bears, defending NCAA champions, are currently ranked No. 4 in the most recent coaches poll after debuting at No 7 in the preseason poll. ONE OF SEVEN UNDEFEATED TEAMS...
Baylor (10-0) is one of seven undefeated teams in NCAA Division I women's basketball this season:
Duke (12-0) - vs. Florida State (Jan. 5).
Kansas (11-0) - hosts Texas (Jan. 3).
LSU (11-0) - at Auburn (Jan. 4).

30-GAME WIN STREAK...
The Lady Bears enter the Missouri contest sporting the nation's longest win streak, a school-record 30-game string. Baylor's last loss came on Jan. 22, 2005, in Austin, Texas when the Texas Longhorns handed the Lady Bears a 69-55 setback. Baylor would then go on to reel off 20 straight wins in 2005, including victories over three No.1 NCAA Tournament seeds, North Carolina, LSU and Michigan State, to claim its first national title. The Lady Bears extended the win streak to 30 games by defeating Georgia in their season opener, 84-72, as part of the State Farm Tip-Off Classic, UCLA (93-85), Indiana (74-62), Texas A&M-CC (92-64), California (75-58), Marshall (74-47), Washington (81-74), McNeese State (72-36), Army (85-68) and Sam Houston State (82-42).

The 30-game string is tied for the 10th longest in NCAA Division I women's basketball history. The Lady Bears are tied with Miami (FL) for the 10th longest streak all-time, a feat the Hurricane accomplished in 1991-92.

THE COACHES...
Baylor coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson is in her sixth season and owns a 141-38 head coaching record which equates to a .788 winning percentage. She has produced 20-win seasons in each of her first five years as a head coach and has taken the Lady Bears to postseason competition every year, four times to the NCAA Tournament and to the finals of the 2003 WNIT. In 2005, the Lady Bears claimed Baylor's and the Big 12's first NCAA basketball championship. Mulkey-Robertson is 6-0 versus Missouri, 2-0 at Columbia.

Missouri head coach Cindy Stein is in her eighth season as the Tigers' head coach. Prior to taking over the reins at Missouri, Stein served three seasons as Emporia State's head coach. She is 122-99 in her eight seasons at Missouri and 187-124 in 11 campaigns along the sidelines.

BAYLOR IN BIG 12 GAMES...
The 2005-06 season marks the 10th year of competition for women's basketball in the Big 12 Conference. Baylor has a record of 80-64 in regular season Big 12 games. However, in Kim Mulkey-Robertson's five years, Baylor is 53-27 in Big 12 play and has never posted a losing conference record. In 2004-05 the Lady Bears claimed their first-ever Big 12 Conference championship, winning both the regular season and tournament titles.

2000-01 - 9-7
2001-02 - 12-4
2002-03 - 8-8
2003-04 - 10-6
2004-05 - 14-2

BAYLOR IN BIG 12 SEASON OPENERS...
The Lady Bears will open the Big 12 Conference portion of their schedule on the road for just the third time. Baylor is 1-1 in league openers on the road, dropping a 89-75 decision at Kansas State in 2002 and winning at Texas A&M, 74-52, in 2005.

Baylor sports a 4-5 record all-told in Big 12 Conference openers.

THE SERIES RECORDS...
Baylor and Missouri will meet for the 14th time when the two teams square off on Wednesday evening. Baylor leads the series 10-3 and has won six straight games against the Tigers. Missouri's last win over Baylor came on Jan. 8, 2000, 78-44, in Columbia when the Tigers were playing their games in the Hearnes Center. Baylor leads the series 3-1 in games played in Columbia. This will be Baylor's first opportunity to play in the Mizzzou Arena.
