TELEVISION BROADCAST...
Fox Sports Network (FSN) will broadcast the Baylor-Texas Tech game. The game can be seen in 45,856 million homes throughout the United States, airing live in 11 FSN regions (Arizona, Bay Area, Chicago, Detroit, Midwest, North [Minnesota], Northwest, Pittsburgh, Rocky Mountain, Southwest, West) and on a delayed basis in the New England region.

FSN seems to like the BU-TT matchup as it has televised the last six games between the two squads and seven of the last nine games.

BAYLOR VS. TEXAS TECH...
The Baylor Lady Bears, currently ranked No. 5 in both the latest AP and Coaches polls and reigning NCAA and Big 12 Conference champions, enter the contest versus the Texas Tech Lady Raiders with a 12-1 overall record and a 2-1 Big 12 mark. Baylor enters the contest winners of 47 of its last 52 games.

Senior forward Sophia Young, national player of the year candidate and Preseason Big 12 Player of the Year, leads Baylor in both scoring and rebounding at 21.2 points and 10.5 rebounds a game. The Kodak All-American, who is No. 2 in the Big 12 in scoring and ranks No. 3 in rebounding, produced two double-doubles last week to raise her career total to 52, good for No. 2 on the conference chart. Sophomore point guard Angela Tisdale ranks second on the squad in scoring at 13.8 an outing. Junior forward Abiola Wabara completes BU's double-digit season scoring trio at 10.2 a contest and she ranks second among Lady Bears in rebounding at 6.2 a game.

The Texas Tech Lady Raiders, 6-7 overall and 1-1 in league action, were idle on Wednesday night so have had extra time to prepare for the Lady Bears. Senior forward LaToya Davis (6-1) leads the Lady Raiders in scoring and rebounding at 20.5 points and 10.9 rebounds a game. Senior point guard Erin Grant ranks second on the squad in scoring at 13.6 points a game and dishes 6.6 assists a game. Alesha Robertson, a 6-0 junior forward, completes Texas Tech's double-digit scoring with 10.1 a game.

BAYLOR QUICK HITS...
• Baylor's 30-game win streak equaled the 10th longest in NCAA Division I women's basketball history. BU is 47-5 over its last 52 games.
Sophia Young is on track to join an elite group who have tallied 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, 300 assists and 300 steals in their NCAA Division I career, as she currently has 2,020 points, 1,123 rebounds, 260 assists and 266 steals.
• Young needs 314 points and 101 rebounds to become the Big 12's all-time scorer and rebounder.
• Young is now the No. 3 scorer in Baylor history with 2,020 points, she needs only eight points to move into the No. 2 position.
Jordan Davis has missed only five free throws throughout her career (71-76, .934), she has drained 23 consecutive free throws, including all 12 this year.
Kim Mulkey-Robertson's teams are 77-10 (.885) in the Ferrell Center.
• The Lady Bears have won 24 straight home games.
• In non-conference games, Baylor sports a 17-game home win streak and is 43-2 (.956) in the Ferrell Center under Mulkey-Robertson's tutelage. Baylor has registered 42 straight wins in regular-season non-conference home games.
• Baylor is 111-10 under Mulkey-Robertson when scoring 70 or more points, including 70-3 when putting 80 or more on the scoreboard.
• Since coming to BU, Mulkey-Robertson has posted the highest win total (143) and winning percentage (.786) among Big 12 Conference programs.
• Young has produced double-digit scoring in 110 of 119 games and 59 consecutive.

• Young has 52 career double-doubles to her credit.

BAYLOR IN THE POLLS...
Baylor finished last season ranked No. 1 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll and No. 5 in the Associated Press (AP) poll. The Lady Bears, defending NCAA champions, are currently ranked No. 5 in the most recent coaches poll after debuting at No 7 in the preseason poll. The AP poll's Jan. 9 ranking lists Baylor at No. 5 dropping a spot after sitting at No. 4 for three weeks. Baylor has now been ranked in a school-record 39 straight AP polls dating back to week nine of the 2003-04 listing when it broke in at No. 24. The Lady Bears have not been ranked lower than No. 9 since Nov. 30, 2004.

THE COACHES...
Two Women's Basketball Hall of Fame coaches face off when Baylor and Texas Tech take to the court, BU's Kim Mulkey-Robertson was inducted in 2000 while Texas Tech's Marsha Sharp entered the Hall in 2003.

Baylor coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson is in her sixth season and owns a 143-39 head coaching record which equates to a .786 winning percentage. She has produced 20-win seasons in each of her first five years as a head coach and has taken the Lady Bears to postseason competition every year, four times to the NCAA Tournament and to the finals of the 2003 WNIT. In 2005, the Lady Bears claimed Baylor's and the Big 12's first NCAA basketball championship. Mulkey-Robertson is 7-6 versus Texas Tech, 1-4 in Lubbock.

Mulkey-Robertson was named Baylor's fourth head coach on April 4, 2000. She was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame that same year. She was inducted into the CoSIDA Academic All-America Hall of Fame in June of 2003.

Texas Tech head coach Marsha Sharp is 563-182 in her 24th year at the helm of the Lady Raiders. She has led the Lady Raiders to 18 NCAA Tournament appearances, including 16 consecutive, and 11 NCAA Sweet 16 and four Elite Eight appearances and the 1993 NCAA National Championship. Sharp led the Lady Raiders to three-straight Big 12 Conference regular-season titles (1998-2000) and two tournament crowns (1998, 1999). A 1974 graduate of Wayland Baptist University, Sharp was named the National Coach of the Year in 1993 and 1994.

THE SERIES RECORDS...
Baylor and Texas Tech will meet for the 61st time when the two teams square off on Sunday afternoon. Texas Tech leads the series 45-15, however, BU has triumphed in four straight meetings to match its longest win string ever versus the Lady Raiders. BU has won seven of the last 10 contests versus Texas Tech. Baylor's lone win in Lubbock in the Mulkey-Robertson era came last season in a 52-49 victory on Feb. 5, which snapped a 22-game losing string to Texas Tech in Lubbock.

Fox Sports Network seems to like the BU-TT matchup, as it has televised the last six games between the two squads and seven of the last nine games.

BAYLOR IN BIG 12 GAMES...
The 2005-06 season marks the 10th year of competition for women's basketball in the Big 12 Conference. Baylor has a record of 82-65 in regular season Big 12 games. However, in Kim Mulkey-Robertson's five-plus years, Baylor is 55-28 in Big 12 play and has never posted a losing conference record. In 2004-05 the Lady Bears claimed their first-ever Big 12 Conference championship, winning both the regular season and tournament titles.

THE LAST MEETING...
The two squads met three times last season with Baylor prevailing in all three. Baylor posted a 52-49 win in Lubbock (Feb. 5) for its first victory in Lubbock since Jan. 23, 1982 (66-65). The Lady Bears posted a 79-69 win in Waco that gave them sole possession of the program's first Big 12 Conference crown. In the semifinals of the Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City, Mo. (March 10), point guard Chelsea Whitaker carved through the lane and hit a layup with 2.1 seconds remaining to lift sixth-ranked Baylor over No. 14 Texas Tech, 58-57.
