The Bears will take on Northwestern State on Friday, Sept. 9, at 2:00 p.m. before facing Boston University on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 1:00 p.m.

"We are playing away from home for the first time this season so we will see how the team responds," head coach George Van Linder said. "Northwestern State and Boston University are a pair of good teams and we will have to try to be at the top of our game in order to come away with a pair of wins."

Baylor, currently 1-2-1 on the season, is led by freshman Amanda McGrath, who leads the team with two goals and four points on the year. Sophomore goalie Ashley Holder is also off to a good start on the season, posting a goals against average of 0.99 while saving 20 shots.

Krystle Donaldson has seen most of the time in net for Northwestern State, allowing two goals while making eight saves.

Following the meeting with the Demons, the Bears will face Boston University to conclude the tournament as the Terriers enter the invitational with a record of 2-2 and a No. 8 ranking in the Northeast Region. The Terriers are led by Lauren Erwin who leads the team with a goal and and assist this season. In the net, Boston University features Christina Reuter, who leads the team with a 2-0 record and has recorded three saves on the year while allowing one goal.

The goal was the second of the season for McGrath, who currently leads the squad with two goals and four points scored.

McGrath's first career goal proved to be the game-winner in Baylor's soccer season opener as the Bears downed Houston 1-0 in action at Betty Lou Mays Field.
