The Baylor football team went through nearly all of its game-day script during Saturday's evening workout on the Floyd Casey Stadium turf. The Bears were back to full-speed, too, as all players who had missed earlier practices in the week with strep throat were back tonight.

"Tonight we covered all of our pre-game routine, a little mock game with some situations just to make sure everyone has their mind in the game and that kind of stuff," said Baylor coach Guy Morris.

"Overall, I was pleased," he added. "We need another good week of work and then we'll head to Dallas."

Following the evening practice in helmets and shorts, a group of Big 12 game officials met with the Bears to go over 2005 rule changes.

Baylor will take Sunday off, only the second full day the team has had off since pre-season drills began on Aug. 8, then return to the practice field Monday evening as it continues to prepare for next Saturday's opener at SMU.
