WACO, Texas - The 2005 Baylor Bears' home football season is less than three weeks away and a number of promotions have been planned for the five-game schedule slated for Floyd Casey Stadium.
The Bears will kick-off the home season on Sept. 10 against Samford on Parents' Weekend. HEB will serve as the sponsor in a game dubbed "Hero Day". Two ticket promotions will also be available as fans can purchase a Family Four Pack which is good for four tickets, four hot dogs, and four Dr Peppers all for $50.00. The athletic department will also allow all military personnel (with a valid military ID) two free tickets to the game.
Highlights will also include special halftime recognition of the 2004-05 national champion Lady Bears basketball team. The Lady Bears will also be available for autographs in Snicker's Touchdown Alley prior to the game in the First National Bank of Central Texas Champions Tent. The game will also serve as Baylor's annual United Way game. Finally, the "B' Association will honor Gary Joe Kinne as its Baylor Legend.
BU's second game of the season on Oct. 15, sponsored by Dodge, will feature the Nebraska Cornhuskers and will pay tribute to the 1980 Southwest Conference champion Baylor football team. The "B" Association legend will be Hall of Fame linebacker, Mike Singletary.
The remainder of the schedule includes an Oct. 29 game versus Texas Tech in Baylor's annual Homecoming Game, sponsored by Alltel. On Nov. 5th, the second-ranked Texas Longhorns come to Floyd Casey Stadium in a game sponsored by Farm Bureau Insurance. The Bears final home game of the season, Senior Day, will be on Nov. 19 against Oklahoma State in a game sponsored by Reliant Energy. The final home game will feature the second Family Four Pack of the season with four tickets, four hot dogs, and four D. Pepper's available for $60.00.

In addition to the completion of Grant Teaff Plaza on the East and South sides of the outer stadium, fans visiting Floyd Casey Stadium will also enjoy an additional ticket office of the east side of the stadium as well as new premium seating (Bear Club) on the west side.
Parking for individual games this year will be $10.00 per vehicle but fans wishing to purchase a non-reserved lot parking pass may do so for $25.00.
