After the team received numerous standing ovations from those in attendance, the Senate adopted a resolution (SR 620) congratulating Coach Mulkey-Robertson and the Baylor Lady Bears.

Next, the team was greeted in the Governor's Reception Area by Texas governor Rick Perry. After delivering a congratulatory speech , Governor Perry greeted each player and staff member individually before posing for pictures.

To conclude the day's events, the Lady Bears enjoyed a reception with Baylor alumni who are in the legislature and staffers who work in the Capitol Building.
