WACO, Texas - Baylor freshman Aaron Bruce earned more awards released Tuesday, namely Big 12 Freshman of the Year by the Kansas City Star and CollegeInsider.com Freshman All-American.
Bruce, the nation's leading freshman scorer and the second-highest scorer in the Big 12 at 18.4 points per game, was also named third-team All-Big 12 by the Star and the Lawrence Journal-World. Monday Bruce was named to the Associated Press's All-Big 12 third team.
The Freshman All-America honor by CollegeInsider.com was Bruce's second, following his selection to the Rivals.com Freshman All-America Second Team Monday.
Last week Bruce was named the Big 12 Diaper Dandy of the Year by ESPN's Dick Vitale.
