Recap | Box Score | Notes

BAYLOR POSTGAME QUOTES:
Scott Drew, Baylor Head Coach

"Our season didn't end like the girls did, but give credit to our team. We scored enough to win the game and we rebounded enough to win the game, so credit their defense. (Texas A&M) made the shots on the road that you have to do to win."

"No doubt (the women's basketball championship) motivates us. When you are surrounded by winners you want to win."

"There is no replacement for experience. The big thing we took away from this year was experience. Then when you bring in more bodies you won't have to play as many minutes and you can simulate game situations better in practice."

Aaron Bruce, Baylor Guard:
"Our focus was to leave everything on the court. It was Ryan's (Pryor) last game at home, so it meant a lot. Ryan is a great guy and is a good friend to everyone. We wanted to give it our best effort. We didn't come away with the win but we fought hard.

Tommy Swanson, Baylor Center:
(Joseph) Jones and (Antoine) Wright outrebounded our team last game, so we knew they would be a big impact on this game. We knew the key to the game was to keep them occupied and off the boards."

TEXAS A&M POSTGAME QUOTES:
Billy Gillispie, TAMU Head Coach

"It was a great win for us. I have unbelievable respect for their team and coaches. They just need a couple things to go their way and they would have won more games. We are lucky to get out of here with a win."

"It wasn't over until the buzzer, because they are good at pulling those threes out and getting their players in position to hit the threes."

"I got my start here at Baylor when I was playing in junior college. Baylor has been a special place. Everyone here is awfully nice, and it's special to me."

Antoine Wright, TAMU Forward:
"We have been playing really good basketball. This game was important to us, and we didn't want Baylor to think we were going to sleep on them. They have some great players here at Baylor, and Aaron Bruce came out and gave it his all today."

Bobby Leach, TAMU Guard:
"We knew we had to come in and get a win. Now we have to practice hard and be ready to go at the tournament."
