WACO, Texas - The 2005 Big 12 Conference regular season and tournament champion and Tempe Regional champion Lady Bears will depart for Indianapolis Thursday to compete in the Final Four of the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship. Prior to their departure, fans are invited to send the Lady Bears off in the Ferrell Center parking lot at 5 p.m.

The short celebration will begin at 5 p.m. with an introduction from Baylor Athletic Director Ian McCaw. Speeches from some of the Lady Bears and head coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson will follow. The team is scheduled to depart at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Baylor will face LSU Sunday, April 3 on ESPN. This is the first time the Lady Bears have made it to the Final Four and the first time a Baylor athletic contest will be broadcast in high definition.

After the send-off celebration, fans are encouraged to attend Bear Growl at the Jim and Julie Turner Riverfront Complex. There will be free food and live music. Members of the baseball, softball, tennis, golf and track and field teams will also be there to meet and greet fans.
