WACO, Texas - The Baylor track & field team will host the annual Baylor Dr Pepper Invitational to open the outdoor season Saturday at Hart-Patterson Track & Field Complex.

Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Tarleton State, North Texas, Northwood, Angelo State, Abilene Christian, Texas A&M-Commerce, Wayland Baptist, TCU, Texas-Arlington and Mount Mercy will be competing along with Baylor to comprise one of the largest fields in the history of the event.

Indoor Recap
The Baylor men finished 18th indoors, while the women tied for 31st and tied their highest-ever Big 12 Conference indoor finish by placing third...Senior Darold Williamson took fourth at the NCAA Indoor Championships to earn All-American honors and anchored the 4x400 relay to a second-place finish...The women's 4x400 relay also had a great indoor season, finishing third at NCAAs with a school-record time of 3:32.26...At the Big 12 Conference Championships, senior Elizabeth Wilson (200 meters) and Williamson (400 meters) claimed individual titles.

Outdoor Outlook
Senior Darold Williamson has a chance to accomplish a feat few athletes have been able to attain by going for his fourth straight Big 12 outdoor 400-meter title...The men's 4x400 meter relay will be looking for its eighth-straight Big 12 outdoor title and will be defending its NCAA title...The Bears appear strong once again in the 400-meter hurdles with Danielle Myricks and Lauren Tillman on the women's side and Brian McDonald and Jerome Miller on the men's side anxious to go after the indoor season...Senior April Holliness and junior Chris Gillis give each side a strong competitor in the long jump.

Next Up The Bears will compete in the UTA Invitational Saturday at Maverick Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
