"First of it's great to have the big guy (Swanson) back. We did a great job fighting back in both the first and second halves. When you're that close it hurts even worse.

"With good teams it is pick your poison. You try to take away one thing and you give up something. We tried to take away the three pointers from (Ronald) Ross and (Jarrius) Jackson, but we gave up the little jumpers in the lane."

Aaron Bruce, Baylor Guard:
"It's extremely frustrating. (This loss) hurts more than getting blown out at Oklahoma since we were so close."

Tommy Swanson, Baylor Center:
"When we make them turn the ball over we have to take advantage of that. We have to stay mentally strong and hope our hard work ethic pays off in the end."

TEXAS TECH
Bobby Knight, Texas Tech Head Coach
"Our best play was when we were up by 10 in the second half. From then on they made some really good plays and we struggled. The game was what we thought it was going to be, and we told our players it was going to be tough."

On Aaron Bruce:
"He is a good player, and we told our kids that. They have done a good job with talent here, and made it tough for everybody to play here. I would love to have (Tim) Bush and (Tommy) Swanson. Swanson is what, only a junior? So he's going to be good next year."
