WACO, Texas - The 2005 Big 12 Conference regular season and tournament champion Lady Bears will depart for Seattle on Thursday to compete in the NCAA Tournament. Prior to their departure, fans are invited to send the Lady Bears off in front of the Waco Regional Airport Texas Aero terminal at 3 p.m.

The short celebration will begin at 3 p.m. with an introduction from Baylor Athletic Director Ian McCaw. Speeches from some of the Lady Bears and Head Coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson will follow. The team is scheduled to depart at 4:00 p.m.

The Baylor Lady Bears, one of four No. 2 seeds in the NCAA Tournament, will play 15th-seeded Illinois State at 1 p.m. (CST) time on Sat., March 19 in Seattle. The game will be broadcast regionally on ESP2.
