WACO, Texas (AP) - Brad Buckman scored 19 points and had nine rebounds, and Texas beat Baylor 75-60 Saturday night for its 15th straight win in the series since Rick Barnes became the Longhorns coach.

Buckman made 6-of-9 shots - all dunks, layups or short jumpers. He has scored 101 points the last five games, shooting 60 percent (30-of-50) in the span.

Kenny Taylor, the last of the former Baylor players who will play on the campus, added 14 points and seven assists. His biggest contribution came in a 15-0 run before halftime when the Longhorns (18-7, 7-5 Big 12) took their first lead and then stayed in front the rest of the game.

Aaron Bruce, the top-scoring freshman in the country, had 19 points for Baylor (9-14, 1-11). Tim Bush had 15 points, but was limited by foul trouble.

The Bears have lost nine straight games in the month since their last win, a victory over Colorado to match their win total of last season.

Barnes, in his seventh season at Texas, has never lost to Baylor. The Longhorns are 55-4 against instate opponents in his tenure.

Texas didn't lead until freshman Daniel Gibson's 3-pointer from the right corner made it 15-14 just over nine minutes into the game. It was the first of the 15 straight points for the Longhorns.

Taylor fed Buckman for a basket, and then drove for his own layup. After penetrating again, he passed the ball to Kenton Paulino for a 3-pointer. Taylor then hit a long 3-pointer, pushing the Longhorns ahead 27-14 after a stretch in which they made 9-of-10 shots.

In his only other game in Waco since transferring from Baylor, Taylor scored 18 points on six 3-pointers last February. Just like last year, Taylor was booed just about every time he touched the ball Saturday night.

Taylor, John Lucas (Oklahoma State) and Lawrence Roberts (Mississippi State) all left under relaxed transfer rules before last season after a scandal under former coach Dave Bliss that was exposed after the shooting death of a player. Lucas also came back twice, but Roberts never did.

Baylor cut the deficit to 54-45 with 8:34 left. Texas then scored five points on the same possession - in the same second.

Gibson hit a long 3-pointer, and while the ball was in the air Tommy Swanson was called for a foul in the lane. The basket counted and then Jason Klotz made both free throws, making it 59-45 with 8:14 left.

Texas kept at least a 10-point lead the rest of the way.

Gibson finished with 13 points, including three 3-pointers.

The Longhorns, knocked out of the Top 25 this week for the first time since the end of the 2001-02 season, have won three straight games since a three-game losing streak.
