WACO, Texas - Baylor Athletics and Chase announce an exciting new partnership, the Chase Champions program, which will make tickets for all Baylor Bear and Lady Bear games available to deserving youth organizations in the Waco area that may not otherwise have an opportunity to attend a game.
The "Chase Champions" section is a designated section of 25 seats, which will be available to area youth organizations for each Baylor Bear Men's Basketball and Lady Bears basketball game during the 2005-06 season. The tickets will be purchased by Chase and distributed to local organizations who make requests through the Baylor Athletic Department.
"We appreciate the opportunity to give back to the Waco community, and specifically to the children of the community," according to Scott Ridgway, Waco City President for Chase. "As important as Baylor fans are to our business here locally, we want to do our part to help cultivate the next generation of Baylor fans. This is one of the most exciting times in the history of Baylor Athletics, and we hope that some deserving kids that might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience that excitement firsthand will have the chance to do so through the `Chase Champions' program."
Added Baylor head men's basketball coach Scott Drew: "I appreciate Chase's involvement with our program. What they are doing is tremendous both for the community and our program. I look forward to looking up and seeing the `Chase Champions' help cheer our team to victory."
With more than two million customers, Chase is the largest financial institution in the state of Texas. Chase has three local Waco locations.
