WACO, Texas - According to the All-Star Girls Report (ASGR), the Baylor Lady Bear women's basketball program ranks No. 1 in recent recruiting rankings.
"As we continue to build this program it is nice for those efforts to be recognized by others," said head coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson. "What makes me really happy about this recognition is that it shows the dedication and commitment that our coaching staff has. Between Bill Brock (associate head coach) and assistant coaches Jennifer Roberts and Johnny Derrick these three did a wonderful job in bringing in this class. They were superb in identifying our needs then finding student-athletes that not only fit those needs but are also a good fit for our program. We have recruited a strong class that is very versatile and athletic."
Baylor, currently 7-0 on the season and sporting a 27-game win streak, is coming off a 33-3 campaign in which it won the 2005 NCAA championship and claimed both the Big 12 regular season and tournament titles.
