Baylor and the Houston Jaguars meet for the seventh consecutive season in an exhibition contest. The game marks Baylor's second and final exhibition contest of the season.

BAYLOR IN THE POLLS...
Baylor finished last season ranked No. 1 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll and No. 5 in the Associated Press (AP) poll. The Lady Bears, defending NCAA champions, are ranked No. 8 in the preseason coaches poll that came out on Nov. 2. The AP poll's first ranking of the season (Nov. 8) lists Baylor at No. 6.
THE JAGUARS...
The Houston Jaguars were founded in 1997, as a travel team to help women's basketball players continue their post collegiate career and aspire to take their playing skills to the next level of professional achievement. The Jaguars compete against some of the top Division I colleges and universities each year.

EXHIBITION OPENER - LADY BEARS VS. ARKANSAS-MONTICELLO...
The Baylor women's basketball team scored the first 12 points of the game and never looked back as the Lady Bears cruised to a 107-53 victory over Arkansas-Monticello in the first exhibition game of the year in action at the Ferrell Center.
Baylor rolled out to a 55-26 halftime lead as the Lady Bears shot 57.9 percent (22-of-38) over the first 20 minutes. Sophia Young led the way for the Lady Bears in the first half going 4-of-4 from the field for eight points. Jessica Morrow, Rachel Allison and Tricia Abbott each added seven points in the first half as the Lady Bears held a 29-point lead heading into intermission.
The Cotton Blossoms did not have an answer for the Lady Bear attack throughout the second half as well as Baylor outscored Arkansas-Monticello 52-27 in the final 20 minutes on their way to a 54-point victory.
Young continued her strong play for Baylor in the second half as the senior finished the game perfect from the field, going 10-for-10 to lead the Lady Bears with 20 points.
Six Baylor players scored in double figures for the Lady Bears as freshmen newcomers Jhasmin Player (11 points), Allison (13 points) and Abbott (17 points) each reached double-figures in the victory.
For the contest, Baylor was 44-of-71 (62 percent) from the field as the Lady Bears held an impressive 55-22 advantage on the boards.
Player and Angela Tisdale each recorded seven assists in the victory to lead the Lady Bears while Player led Baylor for the game with 10 rebounds to record a double-double.
The Baylor inside presence was evident throughout as the Lady Bears held a commanding 72-4 edge in points in the paint. For the contest, Baylor scored 29 points off of 20 turnovers as the Lady Bears added 22 fast break points.
