Journal Week 10
What is the best way to move on after a tough loss? I believe that it is to focus so much on your next game that you don't have time to think about what happened, and that is what we are trying to do.
We have in many ways finished our regular season. These last two games are must wins, like a playoff system. Coach Morriss compared this to making the NFL playoffs as a wild card team and having to go play the first round on the road. If we win that then we can come home to play the final game to get to our Super Bowl. But we can't even let next week enter our minds, because we must win this week to have anything other than pride to play for next week. I believe that the entire team, coaches included, realize the importance of this game. We will be ready to play come Saturday.
Missouri is in a similar position to ours. The Tigers have five wins and need one more to become bowl eligible. Also this weekend will be senior day in Missouri, which is ironic because the last time I played there four years ago it was senior day, too. They will have plenty of motivation to beat us, but that is the case every week.
We know how to handle hostile crowds and traveling. This game will come down to our individual execution, and I believe we will do whatever it takes to get this one. If you can't make it to Missouri to watch the game in person listen in on ESPN 1660 AM for the game and support your Bears. Sic `Em.
