COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Four goals by Ashlee Pistorius propelled the No. 11 Texas A&M soccer team to a 4-0 win over Baylor in action at the Aggie Soccer Complex on Friday. With the loss, Baylor concludes its season with a record of 4-12-2, 2-7-1 in conference play, while Texas A&M clinched the Big 12 Conference title with the win and improved to 13-3-2, 7-2-1 in conference play.
The Aggies got on the board just nine minutes into the contest when Pistorius' 12th goal of the season put Texas A&M up 1-0. Pistorius took a pass from Kat Krambeer and Melissa Garey at the top of the box and scored from ten yards out to give the Aggies the early lead.
Pistorius connected on her second goal of the match just five minutes later as she headed in a pass from Laura Probst in the 13th-minute to give Texas A&M a 2-0 lead.
With the game 2-0 heading into halftime, Pistorius connected on her third goal of the match in the 67th minute, defeating Baylor goalkeeper Ashley Holder in a one-on-one situation as the Aggies took a commanding 3-0 lead.
Pistorius put the finishing touches on the Aggies victory when she connected on her fourth and final goal of the match in the 78th-minute as Texas A&M clinched its second consecutive Big 12 Conference crown.
Katie Jo Spisak recorded six saves to earn the shutout victory while Holder made 12 saves in goal for the Bears while taking the loss.
Texas A&M held a 23-8 edge in shots while the Aggies held a slight 3-2 edge in corner kicks.
Tiffany Boshers led the Baylor attack with three shots as the Bears concluded their season.
