WACO, Texas - Baylor football players Mike Miller, Paul Mosley, and Phil Tran visited Dean Highland Elementary on Monday. They spoke to a 4th and 5th grade assembly about the importance of teamwork and working hard to get into college. The students asked the players many questions about college and football.

Mosley told the students that if they wanted to go to college, they "have to stay out of trouble and start behaving right in elementary school because how you act now affects how you will act when you grow up.

Miller added that "you have to be dedicated to your work in football and in the classroom."

When asked about his career goals, Tran remarked that where he wants to be requires a lot of schooling, but "if you stick with it and finish your education, you will be successful in the end."

All of the students and teachers received schedule cards and posters. Before leaving, the players taught the kids how to do the "Sic `em Bears" yell.

The school visit is just one example of how Baylor athletes and coaches are involved in the Waco community. For more information, please contact Ray DeWeese at (254) 710-3073.
