Soccer Drops One Goal Decision to Sooners

NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma's Shana All scored the only goal of the match in the 54th minute as the Sooners defeated the Baylor soccer team 1-0 in action at John Crain Field. With the loss, Baylor falls to 3-11-1 on the season, 1-6 in the conference as Oklahoma improves to 12-3-2, 4-2-0 in conference play.

Baylor managed to keep the game close throughout the first half as neither team was able to get on the board before the intermission.

All put the Sooners on top; however, in the 54th minute when she took a cross from Kady Kelly and put it past Baylor goalkeeper Ashley Holder to give Oklahoma the 1-0 lead.

The lead would stand up as Baylor was unable to score the rest of the way as the Bears dropped their sixth one-goal decision of the season.

Jennifer Nichols made four saves in net to record the shutout win for the Sooners.

Holder made nine saves in goal while taking the loss for Baylor.

Oklahoma out-shot Baylor 21-9 on the day as Tiffany Boshers led the Bears attack with five shots and three shots on goal.

Baylor will return to action on Friday, Oct. 21, when the Bears host Texas Tech at 7:00 p.m.
